The Merlion's Tail, known in the modern world as Sewing Central, travels to many events of historic recreation, re-creation, education, and fun.
These pages are to show event owners, coordinators, 'crats of all sorts, and anyone who may be interested who and what we are and what we do.
You will see in these photos that we are a real fabric store, with historically correct fabric and patterns displayed in an attractive, professional manner, never just "junk dumped on a table."
We currently hold sales tax licenses from the following states:
- Ohio (our home state)
- Illinois
- Pennsylvania
- Wisconsin.
We have no problem with getting transient sales tax licenses wherever we go, and with providing event organizers with documentation as needed.
We hold valid business insurance, and can arrange for certificates of insurance as required.
In a normal year, we vend at the SCA's Pennsic War and Gulf Wars, along with many smaller events.
We have participated in the War of the Lilies in the past. We have also participated in the Silverleaf Renaissance Faire.
We have sold our wares at every one of the SCA's Known World Costuming Symposiums since that event's inception.
