Irish Leine (Shirt) PAY016 AlterYears PAY016 Irish Kinsale Cloak. Due to the wet climate of the country, the Irish have always worn cloaks of one sort or another. The fashion of a full-length collared cloak with or without a hood started in the early 18th century. By 1730 they were found all over Ireland. They have also been widely adopted by modern Renaissance and Medieval living history groups for their warmth and elegance. Originally constructed in red, blue green or gray wool, by the mid 1800's they were usually made of black wool. One size fits most.

Complete your outfit with the PAY015 Irish Leine (Shirt) and the PAY014 "Irish" Dress.
